Samsung MVHR filters

Most Samsung heat recovery units follow the same convention as most MVHR systems on the market:

• M5-class filter for extract air
• F7 (ePM1) class filter for supply air

The replacement filters we offer are cut to the same ISO 16890 dimensions and filtration class, so they perform exactly as effectively as the originals.

Samsung is best known for consumer electronics and air conditioning, and its range of dedicated heat recovery ventilation (MVHR) models is much narrower than that of specialised MVHR manufacturers. Samsung-branded recovery units found in Latvia are usually tied to broader air conditioning or "smart home" solutions. If your unit's data plate shows the Samsung brand, the most reliable way to find the right filter is to check the model code on the front panel, or simply measure the existing filter panel and choose a match based on the dimensions.

First check the sticker on the unit's casing or front panel — it usually shows the full model code. If there's no sticker or it's been peeled off, remove the old filter and simply measure its width, height and thickness in millimetres — these dimensions let you find an accurate match even without knowing the model name. Since Samsung recovery units are found in Latvia less often than more popular MVHR brands, we recommend confirming the dimensions before ordering so the filter can be sent out without delays.

Unused, undamaged filters can be returned within 30 days of delivery, and we cover the return shipping costs. Since Samsung ventilation units are less common than mainstream MVHR brands and model codes are not always easy to find, the best way to avoid a mismatch is to measure the old filter in millimetres – width, height and thickness – and send us those dimensions together with a photo of the unit's label before you order. We'll confirm the right size so the filter arrives correctly the first time.

Yes — if the filter class (M5/F7) and dimensions match those specified by the manufacturer, a compatible filter filters the air just as effectively as the original, since both are made to the same ISO 16890 standard. The only real difference is price: because Samsung isn't a major manufacturer in this segment, its original filters can sometimes be harder to find and more expensive. The most important thing is to accurately identify your unit's model and filter dimensions before ordering.

The standard interval is every 3–6 months, though it's worth shortening in these cases:

• There are pets in the home
• There are allergy sufferers in the household
• Nearby construction or renovation work is increasing the amount of dust in the air

Regular replacement not only maintains air quality but also protects the unit's heat exchanger and fans from excessive strain.
